Yes, unfortunately this is possible. Many cats quickly learn to use the bottom edge of the pleated door like a little door of their own. It doesn't affect every animal, though - across more than 10,000 customers in 2024 we received only 5-6 reports.
Our recommendation: Fit a sturdy cardboard panel along the bottom section. For example: with a door height of 890 mm, a thick strip of cardboard can be inserted at the bottom. This method has proven effective.
